We can help you to help your dog adapt and thrive in a human led world. Whilst dogs have been domesticated over thousands of years, we are sure you are aware that they still possess many traits of a wild animal, such as chasing squirrels, not knowing its appropriate to go to toilet outside, food anywhere is fair game and rolling is delicious finds out on walks.
Puppies aren’t born knowing how to behave no more than we are. They need us to teach and guide them along the way.
In our Good Dog class, we teach your dog how to be the goodest boy or girl your family could wish for including:
- Sitting and staying when asked
- Settling and chilling when asked
- Coming back even when there are squirrels
- Walking with the person on the end of the lead and not pulling them like the huskies they saw on the Christmas advert on the Telly Box
- Being the best and fastest dog at fetch in the dog park
- Leaving stuff when their person says even when it’s the tastiest snack in the hands of a human puppy
- Listening to your every word
- Doing simple tricks to prove to your neighbours and friends they really are the goodest boy or girl in town
We can help with any issues your dog may have that isn’t listed here.
Of course, this needs time and effort from you as well, you will need to learn how to teach your dog these skills and practise to enable you both to graduate from the Good Boy/Girl course. In this class we have squished lessons into short 5-minute daily sessions Monday – Friday. You just need to commit to just 5 minutes a day to create results you can be so proud of.
There is a private Facebook group in which we would love you to update us of your progress with videos and photos or even just to ask advice and tips if things aren’t quite going right. Sometimes the tiniest of change can make the difference, like hand position for example.

Polly has walked my dog Hendrix since he was a puppy and without her I would have a much naughtier dog on my hands! He needs a lot of exercise – far more than I can give him during the week and his ‘fun runs’ with Polly and her other dogs are just what he needs. Polly has consistently been not only polite and professional but flexible enough to adapt to any circumstance. I really don’t know what I would do without her.
Polly has been tending to our horses needs since July 2009. She is very reliable and conciensious. She has always been very helpful in times of need, especially when one of the horses manages to get tangled in fencing or cast! Polly has even managed to still get to the yard through blizzards and ice! I highly recommend her to anyone.
Polly started caring for my two cats at the beginning of last year when she was recommended to me by my local vet. Polly made a home visit prior to her first "holiday duty" and I was impressed by her professionalism and her obvious enthusiasm about working with animals. I have found her to be entirely trustworthy and I am more than happy to leave the house and cats in her care. She has a lovely personality and I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone who finds themselves in need of a temporary carer for their pets.
