Who are we?
We are a small close-knit team who love animals. Polly’s Pet Care Services started in Chislehurst in 2008. The team is lead by Sam.
All members of staff care passionately about our furry and scaly friends. Each person is carefully recruited, referenced and DBS checked and trained. They are all reliable and flexible. They take time to create a care plan that works best for you and your pet’s needs.
Polly’s Pet Care has been 100% reliable and is always willing to accommodate last minute crisis/unforeseen emergencies. They has a wealth of experience about canine behaviour and has been more than happy to reinforce and put into practice existing or new training strategies and needs.
About Samantha
Sam is a dedicated animal lover having grown up with dogs (Weimaraners, Dobermanns, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Labradors and Jack Russels), cats, parrots, ferrets, tortoises, geckos, bearded dragons and an iguana.
Sam spent 7 years in the role of assistant manager before Polly sadly passed away in 2020. Sam decided to keep Polly’s Pet Care Services going as it is what Polly would want and Sam enjoys her job too much to let go. Sam is responsible for the day to day activities and services we provide.
Sam’s qualifications include
* Diploma in Animal Care: Grade Distinction star.
* National Diploma in Animal Management level 3: Grade Merit.
* The Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training Certificate in Dog Handling and Training Techniques.
* The Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training Certificate in Canine Care and Behaviour.
* N.A.S.D.U Accredited Certificate: Level 2 Award General Purpose Security Dog Handling.
* Certificate in Canine first aid.
Sam wishes to go on to qualify as a Canine Behaviourist currently studying under British College of Canine Studies, she is also studying a diploma in Canine nutrition. Sam is the proud owner of a Black Labrador called Kira, but has had 2 rescue dogs previously that crossed into rainbow bridge (a Rottweiler and a Collie) Sam also has three cats and three ferrets who all live harmoniously.

Founder of Polly's Pet Care Services
Polly established Polly’s Pet Care Services in 2008 after deciding to take the leap from working in the city to follow her true love for animals. Polly’s love for animals had no limits, she loved horses, dogs, cats, goats and many more animals. When Polly got her dog Maggie she then started a career in dog training and behaviour training under multiple dog trainers and gaining many qualifications.
Polly cared a lot about all the animals in her care, when moving to Gloucestershire to be closer to her family around 2018 she trusted Sam to continue to run Polly’s Pet Care. Polly loved what she done so much she set up another Pet service in her local area where she also became loved in the area for the same reasons she was in Chislehurst.
Polly sadly passed away in 2020, the decision was made by Sam to continue with the business in her name as a way to continue to cherish her memory. Polly had passed on a lot of knowledge to Sam who would not be where she is now without her.
