We are all missing our regular dogs and pets so much however we are trying to keep busy. Polly has been busy catching up with paperwork (as you know its not her strong point – oops!!) and Sam is busy studying for her Canine hydrotherapy diploma.
As many of you know both Sam and Polly are qualified trainers and behaviourists. Day to day the dog walking/pet sitting business tends to take over as we are super busy. However the current situation has given us time to look into other avenues.
So the news is … we are going to be offering dog training courses online which you can follow at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home and garden whilst we are in lockdown or even after. There will also be the option of one to one consults over zoom.
Now more than ever you may have realised the importance of general obedience for your beloved dog. At the moment keeping your dog away from people and other dogs to maintain social distancing may seem like a challenge. People often say to us “my only issue with my dog is his recall” for example, however what we try to explain is that by practising general obedience and teaching your dog new skills this will make your dog more responsive in other specific areas like recall.
We hope you will all get involved whether your dog be 4 months, 4 years or 8 years. Dogs are never too old to learn and older dogs enjoy using their brain too, it is enriching for them.
So get yourselves prepped and we will be in touch soon.
Stay safe xxx
Brilliant – you know exactly what Benny and Silas need training – their looney tunes act when the door bell goes! I physically can’t intervene as they are too strong, and I get too breathless, soooooo any training guides are very welcome!
