Canine Behaviour and Dog Training

At Polly’s Pet Care we have 2 qualified dog trainers/canine behaviorists with various qualifications, although both with the same main aim to have a happy, well balanced and obedient dog.

We use an array of methods to suit each dog and their owner and strongly believe in positive reinenforcement.

  • We offer consultations for new puppy owners to talk them through and show methods and guidelines to create a happy, balanced dog.
  • We also offer consultations for those who have just taken on a rescue dog to assist in helping the dog settle into its new home and environment in the least stressful way possible.
  • We further offer consultations on specific behavioural/training issues you may have. We can offer help on any issue.

Some of the more common behaviours include:

  • Anxiety / destructive behaviour when left alone
  • Jumping up on visitors
  • Inappropriate toileting and house-training problems
  • Aggression towards other dogs
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorders
  • Excessive barking
  • Fears, phobias and anxieties

We can also help with many other dog behaviour problems not listed above. If you feel you and your dog could benefit from our help then please contact us now.

For all consultations we give an initial 2 hours where we get to know you and your dog and see how we can help and give you guidelines both theoretical and practical.

We will follow up the consultation with a written report. We further are happy to take any calls on the issues. Follow up consultations will be decided once we have seen what help you will need and will be charge at a reduced rate.

Initial Consultations £80 for 2 hours (including a written report)

Follow up Consultations £30 per hour thereafter.
