Canine Behaviour and Training

  • Polly was a Student of Robert Alleyne (from hit TV show Dog Borstal) for 9 months, in this time she assisted in his training classes, went on behaviour consultations with him, attended educations days and completed assignments on training and behaviour questions.
  • John Rogerson “World Renowned Dog Trainer and Behaviourist” – Courses completed - Training, Instructing and Handling 5 day Course, Canine Aggression 4 day course, Professional Behaviour counselling 10 day course
  • Kendal Sheppard “vet surgeon, certified clinical animal behaviourist, lecturer, broadcaster, expert witness and multiple dog owner.”- Attended courses in Canine Aggression (2 days in total)
  • Canine First Aid Course from Guildford College
  • UKRCB symposium Learning for Life – Considering a New Approach to Educating Puppies presented by Helen Zulch, BVSc(Hons), MRCVS.
  • Dog Law for professionals – Trevor Cooper (Specialist solicitor in Dog Law)
  • APDT – Seminar by Dr Jean Dodds on Hyperthyroidism and Vaccine Protocol
  • Currently studying for an advanced diploma in Canine Behaviour Management

Canine Aqua and Hydrotherapy

  • Diploma in Canine Aqua and Hydrotherapy (Level 3) awarded by IRVAP
  • Level 3 Certificate in Canine hydrotherapy awarded by ABC
  • Polly was fortunate enough to gain her qualifications from one of the country’s leading veterinary physiotherapist’s Barbara Houlding (please see for details). There, Polly was able to learn new pioneering techniques and key therapeutic handling in Hydrotherapy, to enable her to achieve the best possible results. Polly also continues to have regular CPD sessions with Barbara, ensuring her ideas and skills are fully up to date. Polly is also fortunate in having a local ACPAT veterinary physiotherapist support.

  • Applying for student membership with UKRCB (UK Registry of Canine Behaviourists).

  • Applying for Membership with CHA (Canine Hydrotherapy Assocation)
